ALL CERTIFICATES ARE PRINTED IN FULL COLOUR AND ENCAPSULATED IN PLASTIC COVERS READY FOR FRAMING, OR CAN BE HUNG DIRECTLY ON A WALL AS RECEIVED. ALL ARE PRINTED ON A4 SIZED PAPER ( INCHES X INCHES) AND THERE ARE THREE TYPES AVAILABLE:
1) SIMPLE SHIELD BLAZON ON MARBLED PAPER WITH FAMILY NAME AND CELTIC BORDER
2) SHIELD BLAZON ON LINEN-EFFECT PAPER WITH MANTLING SURROUND, AND FAMILY NAME, (plus crest and motto if appropriate. See note # below >>>>>)
3) CERTIFICATE FOR COUPLES WITH TWO SHIELDS, ONE OR EACH FAMILY NAME, DECORATED WITH OLD-STYLE IMAGES OF A KNIGHT AND HIS LADY
NOTE # (not all families have been awarded shield blazons by the Herald's Office, and some were not given a grant of crest or motto). Here is a list of the shield blazons we have currently on file (which can also have the prefixes "Mac" or "O", plus variations of spelling). Please also note that Irish Clan names have several different variations of spelling, especially in the anglicised (English) version of the spelling, and although the one shown here may not be the exact one you are seeking, the Irish versions will be the same and have the same shield blazon.
