In March 2001 Ian Power turned his talents to the world of advertising. He has since directed a number of commercials including the very popular ‘Change of Mood’ spot for Lyric Fm.

This promo was highly commended in the New Directors competition at the Dingle Advertising Awards 2001, was included in the November Edition of the international Shots Magazine, was chosen among the top five commercials of the year by the Sunday Business Post, and in May 2002 earned Ian an ICAD award for best direction.

In August 2002 Ian’s commercial ‘Jogger’ for Radio 1 picked up a diploma at the prestigious Kinsale International Advertising Awards. He continues to work as a director of commercials in Dublin where he is represented by Rocket Productions.
