Laser

Dot-Matrix Printers: are very noisy, cheap, produce low quality print, not used that often nowadays.

Ink-Jet / Bubble Jet Printers: are not as expensive as Laser printers, they can be noisy, they are slower than Laser Printers and don't give as good a quality print.

Laser Printers: are very fast, very expensive, very quiet, give excellent print results but are very expensive.

The Resolution of printers is measured in DPI (Dots per Inch)
