B. Tá mé go maith, 'is tú féin? (taw may guh my, iss too fane)
I'm fine and yourself?

A. Níl caill orm (neal kyle ur-um) No worries.
Cad is ainm duit? (cod iss anam ditch) What is your name?

B. Susan is ainm dom agus cad is ainm duit?
(Susan iss anam dum ogus cod iss anam ditch)
My name is Susan and what is your name?

A. Glen is ainm dom (Glen iss anam dum) Glen is my name.
Is as Béal Féirste mé. Cá bhfuil tú i do chonaí?

Nayfa) Mrs Mc Ardle is her name. She works in Scoil Phádraig

A. Mrs Mc Ardle a dúirt tú? (Mrs Mc Ardle a doortch too?)
Mrs Mc Ardle you said?

B. Sea (sha) Yes!

A. Ach sin í mo mhúinteoir! Oh féach ar an tam caithfidh mé
imeacht. Bhuel slán! (ock shin ee muh woon-chore, oh fake air
on tam coy-hee may im-ockt, well slawn) But that is my teacher!
Oh look at the time, I have to go. Well bye!

B. Millteanach soithiúil! (mill-chan-ock see-fool) How wierd!

Part B;

These phrases can be used when starting or ending letters.
Starting:

Sé do bheatha (shay duh vah-ha) Hi!
Dia duit. (geea ditch) Hello!
Lá breá. (law bra) Good day!

Ending:

Slán (slawn) Bye
Slán go foill. (slawn guh foal) Bye for now
Slán agus beannacht. (Slawn ogus ban-ockt) Bye and blessings
Le meas. (leh mass) With respect
