The Hounds of Goll Mac Morna

One day Finn and his fellow warriors were fighting over who had the most hounds. Finn's clann had many. But they had one less than Goll Mac Morna's clann. Finn decided to sneek into Goll's camp. He took what he thought was the strongest hound and set off. But as he was leaving....

....he was surrounded by guards. There was no space for him to get out. "We demand you let the dog go," they shouted. "NO!" replied Finn and he barged passed the guards and ran through the forest. The guards followed him quickly . He ran as if his life depended on it . Well it did. Finn felt like he was going to faint, he couldn't run any more. He thought all hope was lost, but then, all of a sudden.....

.......he heard something coming closer and closer. He threw his spear. It hit something. He ran as fast as he could to see what he had found. It was a deer. He ate it for quick energy. After eating he ran away from the guards. Later he turned around and realised that they were not after him. He sat down and felt very weak. He felt as if he was going to faint again. He.....

...... lay on a stone and then a creature jumped out. It was half man, half horse. He said to Finn, "Finn this dog is not strong it is weak you have taken the weakest dog. But if you take the eye ball from this dog and eat it you shall grow strong once again. You will be able to fight Goll Mac Morna". Soon Goll arrived and Finn and he fought a ferocious battle. They fought all day and all night. Just as Goll was about to hit Finn with his axe Finn drove his sword into Goll's side, wounding him badly. Goll had lost the battle and they each now had the same amount of dogs. When he realised this Goll Mac Morna became very angry and his face went green. He went on fire and turned into ashes.
