Ladies Gaelic Football is a new area for St. Mary's Secondary School.
The school takes pride in encouraging high standards of teaching
and learning. Pastoral care is also a very important part of the
schools' philosophy and ensures that there is a friendly welcoming
climate where all students feel they belong.
All students now have the option of a six year cycle. The majority
of our students avail of this option either through Transition
Year or the Repeat Leaving Cert. The school also offers students
a post Leaving Cert Vocational Training programme which trains
secretaries to excel in today's European business environment.
MUSICALS
The annual musical is the highlight of the school's extra
curricular activities. Musicals have played an important part
in the cultural activities of the school over the years.
Rehearsals are underway at present for 'South Pacific' which will be staged
just before Easter.
DEBATES
During the 1998/1999 academic year, the school's Senior debating team has
successfully competed in a number of local and regional competitions.
