The Glebe
The Glebe is a part of land given to a clergyman in this a
protestant minister. The Glebe is only a quarter of a mile
away from my house. It is situated a on hill called Ceim A Tarbh.
The Glebe entrance is as it was two hundred years ago except the
ornate gate is replaced with a new farm gate. Moss covers the wall
and a tree grows in the wall. Here is the entrance at present.

All that is left now of the Glebe is a huge wall that surrounded
the house.
Of the house itself, only a few bits of the wall
about three feet high, remain.
It must have been a beautiful house as it cost over one thousand
three hundred-pound to build in 1880. (Probably it would cost
over a quarter of a million pound to build to day) As I
Stood thereat the gate I wondered what it would be like to live
in the huge house.
There must have been lots of wealthy
and important people living in the in the house long ago.
