Welcome to my site, in here you will learn about both bass and electric guitar. First i will tell you about electric and acoustic lead guitars but if you would like to go straight to bass just click on the link below.

First things first,here are some pics of all the different parts of a guitar. Once you are familiar with the structure and the different parts playing the guitar should become somewhat easier.

	Pickups,used on electric bass and lead guitars,are how the notes are "picked up" from the strings and sent through the lead,into the amp and out the speaker.
	Machine Heads are used to tune each string and also to hold the strings in tune. Each of the six strings on a guitar have their own machine head. Turning each head will alter the sound of the tuning of the string.
	Thre bridge simply holds the strings in place and allows them to stay in tune.

Now,a song is consrtucted of chords.Chords are the formation you place your fingers on each fret and on each string (the six strings are E,A,D,G,B,E). There are seven chords. They are A,B,C,D,E,F,and G shown below

In order to play a song chords must be palyed in a certain pattern. There are certain variations of each of these chords like A-G minor, for the moment these chords aren't too important but later on when i show you how to play a song i will include some of these.
