Bronze age metalwork
The children are taking part in an ongoing Bronze Age metalwork project with local artist Marie Brett. They have been learning the techniques of repousse and chasing with aluminium and copper, using a variety of tools. The children each made their own sheet metal piece of work, based on Bronze Age artefacts, and they produced some beautiful pieces.
As well as the hands on work with metal, Marie brings in many other subjects from the curriculum. For example, Science, Geography, History, English, SPHE.
