We hope you enjoy our January poems!
January is cold
And windy
Never hot
Use your firelighters
And
Radiators
You’ll need them
January
January has New Year’s Day,
And all of the best reasons to celebrate.
Now leaving 2008, a bright new year to come.
Under the ground the plants are sprouting,
All the animals are safe and snug.
Running through fields bleached white,
You have to say it feels right.
Boys!
Bold and noisy, messy and loud.
Oh but you have to give them credit,
Yes, they are actually quite nice.
So funny, kind and caring to mum when she’s ill.
January
January is my favourite time of year
And I want everyone to hear
No more chocolate
Uh oh!!!
And no more sweets!
Really really
Yeah I said really. Oh I hope no one can hear me.
January
January is so cold,
And 2008 is getting old
No snow just rain, rain, rain,
Umbrellas are very useful again
And people are cheerful but not for long,
Recession makes their life go wrong.
Yours sincerely, 6 class girls
