Tipperary

Tipperary boasts some fine visitor accommodation to match the various scenery which you will find in the “Premier County”, including The Rock of Cashel -- former seat of the Kings of Munster, the Galtee & Slievenamon Mountains and much more.

If you want to savour something different and experience “ the hidden Ireland “ you could always rent a cottage at Cathy Hackets traditional Irish farm in Borrisoleigh, where you can stroll through the fields at your own leisure. Horses, goats, sheep etc, not to mention the "craic" (fun) with the locals in the local Pubs, should you care to imbibe in the Guinness. The

If you fancy a ride you will undoubtly enjoy the old fashioned scene at Carrowbaun Riding Centre near Killaloe overlooking the Shannon R. Tel (061) 376754.

Just on the border with Tipperary is Portland House Hotel, which is near Portumna on the Shannon and Lough Derg. Galway City and immediate region
