The Glen of  Imaal Heritage centre is situated in Davidstown Old School, Davidstown, Donard, Co. Wicklow. It was set up in May 1999. Its aim is to gather and collect as much information on the heritage of the communities of the Glen of Imaal, Donard and Donaghmore. It's objective is unique, it's misson is to provide a service for the residents of the community to learn about their heritage before it is lost forever. The center provides a service for the elderly members in the area to share their stories and memories from their childhood to the present day.

FIRST ANNUAL SHORT STORY/ POETRY COMPETITION



COMPETITION RULES

  1. Short Story: Maximum number of words is 2000
  2. Poetry: Maximum number of lines is forty
  3. All entries must be written in English.
  4. No Entry may have been published anywhere before end of September 1999.
  5. Entries must be typed and the top copy entered. No entries are returned.
  6. No indication of entrants name may appear on the entry.
    Name and address must be on a separate sheet of paper.
  7. Appropriate fee must be included with all entries and envelope should by clearly marked 'Short Story' or 'Poetry'.
  8. The Adjudicators verdict will be final and no correspondance will be entered into regarding entries.
  9. No special entry form is needed.
  10. Entries must be posted by the 21st of August 1999.
