West Belfast Traders Association
Building Locally
The West Belfast Traders Association is a community based initiative established
in 1995. Its geographical area of interest covers the Belfast City Council
electoral wards of Upper and Lower Falls as well as the Lisburn Borough
electoral wards of Dunmurry, Twinbrook, Kilwee and Colinglen. The
Association's main purposes are to.
- Promote the best interests of small to medium sized businesses in the area.
- Advocate on behalf of members on issues of common concern.
- Provide information on services and training to members and to access such on their behalf
- liase with other similar associations, community projects, Trades unions, Government and statutory bodies.
- Strive to increase employment and training opportunities in West Belfast.
- Encourage businesses to enhance their contribution to the social and spatial environment.
