24/03/2007: Steel for the rear of the auditorium has reached full height.

09/09/07: Work proceeds towards completion of the exterior. Subcontractors for heating, air conditioning, electrical, plumbing etc. are already on site.

09/09/07: One of these subcontractors is Centre Stage Engineering Ltd who are responsible for safety curtain, counterweight flying system and motorised hoists. Manufacture and install two double-deck forestage elevators with Spiralift transmission systems

17/02/08: With external work nearly complete efforts are now concentrated on internal fit out.

17/02/08: The new Wexford Opera House awaits its official opening on 5th September 2008 in time for the 57th Wexford Festival Opera 16th October to 2nd November 2008.

25/05/08: With the construction hoarding removed the reconstructed 'High Street' is revealed.

08/06/08: Work begins on removal of tower crane.

08/06/08: Workers remove parts of the crane which had dominated Wexford's skyline for nearly two years.

05/09/08: Wexford Opera House was officially opened by An Taoiseach, Mr Brian Cowen T.D. The opening ceremony was followed by a special television broadcast of the world's longest running chat show 'The Late Late Show'.

On Thursday February 28th 2008 the The Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism, Séamus Brennan T.D., performed the 'Topping Out' ceremony on the wexford Opera House.
