Isn't life strange... one day you're sitting brooding over a campfire, the next some slip of a village girl takes it into her head to follow you. Some wonder why you put up with her constant questions and chatter, but it's just that, her talkativeness and inquisitive nature that makes the nighttime of your soul less dark, less cold. And when she follows you, and you try to put her off, you find all your attempts have the opposite effect, that she becomes more insistent yet. And then you realize you've found something you didn't know you were looking for, and that the "annoying blonde" has become your very reason for going on, and then you wake up to a new day.

I am often asked why I travel with Xena, why I put myself in harms way by walking by her side and I usually answer by saying something flippant like "well where else would I be", but the reason is far deeper than that. The first time I saw Xena I knew that she was "the one". I knew that she was the one that I wanted to spend my days and nights with, that I would do anything for her without question and that I would do it with willingness and happiness. I knew that she would open my heart, that she would protect me and guide me and show me the way. I knew that the cold exterior of this frighteningly powerful woman was hiding the most incredibly soft and beautiful soul that I had ever seen. One look in her eyes will show you that everything I have said is true, but tread with care, for this is Xena Warrior Princess the one that I follow, the one the world has been waiting for.
